Croatia Airlines introduces new seasonal Split-Istanbul route
8th May 2024, Split
Last night, Croatia Airlines operated its first flight on the new seasonal Split-Istanbul route, with which Croatia’s flag carrier has expanded the network of international flights it operates from Split Airport this year.
Croatia Airlines’ first flight from Split to Istanbul (flight number OU4352) was operated by an Airbus A319 aircraft, aboard which there were 77 passengers. The return flight from Istanbul to Split was operated this morning (flight number 4353) flying 31 passengers.
To mark the introduction of this new seasonal route, Croatia Airlines presented all passengers on flights OU4352 and 4353 a 20 percent discount voucher, redeemable against their next purchase of a Croatia Airlines ticket for a flight on the Split-Istanbul route.
Croatia Airlines is planning to operate direct flights on the Split-Istanbul route three times a week, on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, until mid-October this year. This enables Croatia Airlines to provide even better air connections between Split and international destinations.
During this year’s summer season, Croatia Airlines will be connecting Split Airport with 21 international destinations or 22 airports (i.e., Amsterdam, Athens, Vienna, Berlin, Bucharest, Dublin, Düsseldorf, Frankfurt, Istanbul, Copenhagen, London Gatwick, London Heathrow, Lyon, Milan, Munich, Oslo, Paris, Prague, Rome, Skopje, Stockholm, and Zurich).
During the upcoming tourist season, Croatia Airlines is planning to connect Croatia with 28 international destinations or 29 European airports by operating flights on 50 international routes. More specifically, Croatia Airlines is planning to operate more than 17,200 flights, and offer more than 2,000,000 seats.
