President of Management Board and CEO of Croatia Airlines, Jasmin Bajić, re-elected to Board of Governors of International Air Transport Association (IATA)

Jasmin Bajić, President of the Management Board and CEO of Croatia Airlines, was today re-elected to the Board of Governors of the International Air Transport Association (IATA). The decision on his re-election was taken at the proposal of the IATA Nominating Committee, and was adopted today at IATA’s Annual General Meeting held in Dubai. Jasmin Bajić’s new three-year mandate starts at the end of 2024.
It’s worth recalling that Jasmin Bajić was first elected to IATA’s Board of Governors on 6 March this year, which was a great international recognition for Croatia’s flag carrier. Croatia Airlines became a member of IATA in 1992, and has been contributing to the high quality of IATA’s work ever since with the airline’s professional experience and knowledge, while actively shaping an air travel market which is safer, more sustainable, and more accessible to all key stakeholders.
The International Air Transport Association or IATA gathers over 320 airlines, which account for 83% of total international air traffic. It plays a crucial role in the field of air travel, while IATA’s members, through their daily activities, actively participate in shaping the future growth of a safe, secure, and sustainable air travel industry, which connects and enriches the world in which we live and travel.
Jasmin Bajić joined Croatia Airlines in 1995, and was appointed as President of the Management Board and CEO of Croatia Airlines in November 2017. During the course of 29 years that he has worked at Croatia Airlines, he has held various managerial positions, including in the sectors of Corporate Planning, Strategy, Fleet Planning, Network Management, Finance and Controlling. Prior to being appointed to the position of President of the Management Board and CEO of Croatia Airlines, Jasmin Bajić was Director of Controlling and Internal Audit. During the course of his career, he has also been active in scientific research in the field of aviation industry, and published over 30 publications. Jasmin Bajić’s re-election to IATA’s Board of Governors will be of benefit to both Croatia Airlines and the Republic of Croatia, and will facilitate his active participation in writing the new chapters of Croatia’s aviation industry.
